The Centre for Mathematics Applied to the Life Sciences (CMALS) is a joint UoG-Strathclyde Centre that was formed in 2003 under the Synergy Agreement. The main themes of our research are: Disease; Treatment and diagnosis; Ecosystems and Biodiversity. Research across the Centre varies considerably and includes heart modelling, biological fluid dynamics, soft tissue mechanics, drug delivery, medical devices, marine science, ecology and epidemiology.

CMALS held a virtual ‘Show & Tell’ event on Wednesday 28th April.

The primary aims of the event was to stimulate new collaborations and to resume the lively conversations between the two Universities. Moreover, the event provided an opportunity to elect the CMALS committee for the coming years.
