Industry Dialogue SofTMech

This event was run by the EPSRC SofTMech Centre for Multiscale Soft Tissue Mechanics

The aim of the event was to create a dialogue through which attendees can identify ways in which their organisations can gain economic value/competitive advantage through application of the centre’s research to their business challenges.

SofTMech's research is focused on mathematical and computational modelling of soft tissue mechanics with applications to the healthcare sector, in particular Heart and Cancer treatment. The methods and software tools being developed are of wide application, to other industrial sectors, that are interested in the mechanics of soft and fibre-reinforced materials, and in fluid-structure interactions.
